The Mulberry Grove Unit 1 school board took action this month to become part of the Follett Destiny System.
Superintendent Steve Phillips said the system can be used to track library operations.
The board decided to subscribe to an advanced version of the web-based system, which will allow the monitoring of several other school departments.
The initial cost is $3,800, then $750 per year thereafter.
The board approved the property and casualty insurance bill, which is 3.81 percent higher than last year, and Superintendent Phillips reported employee health insurance has increased 13 and one-half percent.
Tile will replace carpeting in two classrooms at the elementary school. The cost is about $2,900 per classroom with L& B Flooring of Greenville providing and installing the tile.
The superintendent said the plan is to tile a couple of the elementary school classrooms each year until all are done.
The board approved the bond for District Treasurer Regina Johnson at a cost of about $1,300 for the year.
The bid of Prairie Farms to provide milk next school year was approved as was the bid from Aunt Millie’s Bakeries for bread products. Phillips reported the milk bids are a little higher than last year while the bread costs are lower.
