New Options For Tax Payments


Bond County property owners have a couple of new methods to pay their tax bills this year.

Treasurer Mark Robertson said you can use credit cards or e-checks this year. If you pay by MasterCard, Visa, or Discover, there is a convenience fee for 2.5% of the transaction amount, plus $1.50. Those fees are charged by the credit card processor and the money does not go to the county. There is a flat $2 fee for e-checks. The website to pay online is

Taxes can also be paid by mail, at the treasurer’s office or at participating local banks. The proper installment stub from the bill must also be presented.

The deadline to pay the first installment is July 3 and the second installment is due no later than September 3.
