Real estate tax bills were mailed a few weeks ago.
Bond County Treasurer Mark Robertson said he still has a pile of bills that were returned by the post office as undeliverable. Robertson advised it is important the bills get to the right people.
He urges residents who have not received a tax bill yet to come into the office. Addresses will be updated so this doesn’t happen again. He stressed that taxpayers are ultimately responsible for paying real estate taxes whether or not they receive a bill.
