Construction work on the Illinois Rt. 127 bridge, over Interstate 70, is set to begin on July 22, according to the City of Greenville.
It is believed the project will take 25 calendar days to complete.
According to the Illinois Department of Transportation, Rt. 127 is being milled, patched and resurfaced between the eastbound and westbound ramps. During construction, only one lane will be open to traffic, which will be controlled by flaggers.
City officials have been told the current plan is that both lanes will be open to traffic when construction workers are not on site.
