Greenville FFA Members Travel To DC

Three members of the Greenville FFA Chapter recently went on the Illinois Farm Bureau Heritage and Cooperative Washington DC Trip. Those in attendance were Wil Harnetiaux, Logan Doll, and Taylor Weiss.

There were eighty students and chaperones that attended the trip. Students and chaperones had the opportunity to tour Milton Hershey Farm and School. As well as Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Mount Vernon. FFA Members spent time in the Holocaust Museum and had the opportunity to visit the White House, Lincoln, Vietnam, WWll, Korean, and Jefferson Memorial. They also toured the U.S. Capital and met with Rodney Davis, Mike Bost, and Senator Richard Durbin. Members also experienced attending Arlington National Cemetery and placed a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Students were also able to go on a night cruise of Washington DC.

The Students spent six days together and met many FFA members from other schools.
