Despite some rain, the first HSHS Holy Family Hospital Hometown Heroes event in Greenville was a success Friday afternoon and evening.
The community was invited to participate, with activities and displays available for four hours. On the hospital grounds, food was served, hospital tours given, emergency service vehicles were on display and there was a kid’s area.
A free health fair was held in the Fair Oaks section of the complex.
Kelly Sager, hospital president and CEO, said the event was designed to honor the local heroes who help others in this community.

Sager said over 300 people attended the celebration in just the first two hours.
