Personnel Action From Unit One Board Meeting

Following an executive session Monday night, the Mulberry Grove Unit 1 Board of Education approved several motions pertaining to personnel.

Non-certified staff members were granted a three percent salary increase for next school year. Superintendent Steve Phillips said this will result in an additional cost of a little more than $11,000 to the district.

Non-certified employees include cooks, bus drivers, custodians and teacher aides.

The board accepted the resignations of Charity Huwe as junior high Language Arts teacher and coach, and Jacqueline Nelson as speech teacher. Huwe was hired earlier this summer.

Ryan Oldham was hired as high school business teacher and junior high head baseball coach.

The board approved Jim Quick as assistant junior high baseball coach and Troy Oldham as a volunteer assistant coach in the junior high baseball program.
