Fair Auction Results


The annual Bond County Ag In the Classroom 4-H Auction at the Bond County Fair Monday evening was one of the most successful ever in terms of total income.

The auction brought in $85,003, which is $11,511 more than last year. This was accomplished with 80 lots sold by the 4-H members, compared to 88 lots sold last year.

Brianna Ulmer sold her champion steer, Lane Mollett the champion barrow, Ella Kleiner the champion goat wether, Brady Lingley the champion sheep wether, Haley Gentry the champion pen of rabbits, Kylie Doll the champion pen of chickens and Phoenix Johnson had the top milk basket.

The average price for steers was $2,704, for goats was $390, for sheep was $363, for barrows was $1,274, for poultry was $407, for rabbits was $458, and for dairy products was $556.
