Sign-up is underway for the United States Department of Agriculture’s Market Facilitation Program (MFP).
The program assists farmers who continue to suffer from damages due to trade retaliation from foreign nations.
USDA will provide up to a total of $14.5 billion in direct payments to impacted producers.
Sign-up extends through December 6.
MFP payments will be made to producers of certain non-specialty and specialty crops, as well as to dairy and hog producers.
