The new Simple Room building

Later this month, the Simple Room will welcome area residents to tour its new building along South Fourth Street in Greenville.

Lorna Gaffney, director of marketing and communications, said the Simple Room wanted to thank the entire Greenville community for how it has invested in the new building and their ministry over the past 30 years. A community open house will be held Sunday, August 18 from 2 to 4 PM. A Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting will be held at 3 PM. Simple Room staff, board members, and students will be on hand.

Ground was broken for the new facility last summer. It is much larger than the old one with four individual rooms for tutoring or other activities, and expanded recreation, kitchen and office areas.

Once again, the Simple Room open house is Sunday, August 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. with a ribbon cutting at 3.
