Monday night’s storms knocked down several power poles and tree limbs along Rt. 143 and Mercantile Drive in Highland.
Highland Police confirmed to WGEL that there were some power outages in the area, but all power had been restored by morning. No roads were closed to the downed poles.
Crews were on scene Tuesday morning to clean the area and replace the poles. As part of the replacement effort, there was a scheduled power outage Tuesday afternoon for residents north of the railroad tracks and east of Silver Lake.
During the outage, the Weinheimer Community Center was open as a cooling center.
