At the Greenville Chamber of Commerce New Faces event Tuesday, there was news about several new businesses.
Greenville Economic Development Coordinator Bill Walker announced the new Dollar Tree store will open Thursday at 9 a.m. It is located along Illinois Rt. 127, just south of Route 40, between Lu-Bob’s and McDonald’s.
Kim Cruse advised she plans to open a floral shop in the former J.C. Video building along Beaumont Avenue. She will also have tuxedo rentals and will sell homemade gift items made by local residents.
Cruse said the tentative opening date is December 1.
Mark Sargis told the audience he is moving from Wheaton to Greenville and will be establishing a law practice here. His expertise is in property and not-for-profit law.
Three physicians, who recently joined HSHS Holy Family Hospital, were introduced.
Amrish Patel reported his hotel, along south Rt. 127, recently went through a renovation. It is now known as Sure Stay Hotel by Best Western.
Walker reported Kris Worstell has opened Hometown Meals LLC, which is a gourmet meal prep and delivery service.
No Jack, It’s A Jill Thing is open across from the courthouse on College Avenue. It has women’s clothing, accessories and gift items.
Walker said Ashley Smith has opened Divine Nails By Ashley at 102 South Second Street. She gives manicures and pedicures.
Walker advised Ken and Suzanne Turner have a food truck in Greenville known as Triple T Grill and Chill.
