Comets Top Hillsboro For Homecoming

The Greenville Comets varsity football team won its fourth straight game Friday night for homecoming.

The Comets scored the first 40 points of the game en route to a 40-8 victory over Hillsboro.

Quarterback Wil Harnetiaux threw two touchdown passes, including a 59-yarder to Isaac Green to open the scoring. The other was 17 yards to Tommy Baker.

Jack Woods scored three rushing TDs and Logan Doll had one.

Woods recorded 115 yards on the ground on 17 carries. Harnetiaux completed 8 of 12 passes for 176 yards.

The Comets are 4-0 for the season, still tied with Vandalia and Pana for first place in the South Central Conference. They play at Roxana this Friday. The game will be broadcast on WGEL.
