Drug Charges Filed After Downtown Arrests

Two people were arrested by city police in downtown Greenville last Wednesday on alleged drug offenses.

Aaron Thiery, age 32, and Theresa Thiery, age 33, have each been charged with two felonies and two misdemeanors.

The Thierys face charges of alleged possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, cocaine; possession of a hypodermic syringe and needle, and possession drug paraphernalia, a glass pipe to ingest methamphetamine.

Aaron Thiery is being held in the Bond County jail on $3,000 cash bond. His preliminary hearing is set for October 17.

Following her initial appearance, Theresa Thiery returned to court and her bail was reduced to a personal recognizance bond by Circuit Court Judge Christopher Bauer. She has been released and her preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 23.
