GES Parent Club Active With New School Year

Another school year is underway and the Greenville Elementary School Parent Club has resumed its support of the school.

Club President Brenna Garnett Hopkins said the club is similar to a booster club. Their primary purpose is to serve the school, students, teachers, and staff. They hold fundraisers to purchase equipment and provide extra help when needed.

The Parent Club provides a variety of programs to students, one of them this Thursday. The event will include a mobile planetarium. Students K through 5th grade can be immersed in a space experience. They also have a Santa’s Workshop in December and other assemblies through the year.

Anyone wanting to support GES can be a member of the club. Dues are only $1 a year.
