The highlight of homecoming week at Greenville High School is the crowning of the homecoming queen and king Saturday night.
The coronation is part of the homecoming dance in the gymnasium. It begins at 8:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
Five senior girls are candidates for queen and there are five senior boys in the running for king.
Queen candidates are Madison Knight, Chloe Macon, Rylee Pickett, Marissa Schaefer and Hannah Simpson. King candidates include Logan Doll, Joshua Doty, Gage Langel, Noah Mayfield and Zachary Meyer.
Each of the other classes have four students on the homecoming court.
Juniors are Sarah Hemann, Natalie Iberg, Jarin Weber and Gavin Durborrow, sophomores are Alexis Griffin, Kayla Sanders, Peyton McCullough and Dima Powell, and the freshmen are Mary Claire Dannaman, Ainsley Olson, Dieken Graber and Easton Maroon.
The retiring homecoming queen and king are Madelyn Daiber and Drew Frey.
The theme of homecoming is Fairy Tales.
