The postmaster at the Greenville Post Office is retiring.
Last Friday was the final day of work for Lisa Mena of rural Greenville, who has served as postmaster since February of 2017. She is using leave time this week and will officially end with the post office on September 16.
Mena’s career with the postal service spanned over 34 years. Before becoming postmaster, Mena was a supervisor and officer in charge at the Greenville facility.
She said the postmaster’s position has been listed by the United States Postal Service as being open.
Kathy Albrecht of Moro is the new officer in charge at Greenville. She has worked for the postal service 25 years. Albrecht was previously postmaster at Panama, and has also worked at Mulberry Grove, Highland, Litchfield, Edwardsville and Breese.
