The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference has announced its Player of the Week award winners for the week of September 23. Two GU Panthers were among the honorees.
Adereio Jones, a GU senior, from Annapolis, Maryland, was named the UMAC Football Defensive Player of the Week. Jones led Greenville defensively in their win over Northwestern last weekend. He returned an interception 28 yards for a first-quarter touchdown and finished with five tackles, two interceptions, and a touchdown.
GU senior Eric Krahn, of Stockton, California, was named the UMAC Offensive Player of the Week. Krahn led the Panthers in the game against Northwestern, scoring two touchdowns – including one for 57 yards – and finished with seven receptions for 144 yards.
