A 2019 homecoming queen and king were crowned during the Greenville High School homecoming dance Saturday night.
The new queen is Madison Knight and Joshua Doty was selected the king.
Queen Knight is the daughter of Kimberly Knight and Ryan Knight of Greenville.
King Doty is the son of Tabatha and Kris Cook of Greenville.

Other candidates for queen were Chloe Macon, Rylee Pickett, Marissa Schaefer and Hannah Simpson.
The other king candidates included Noah Mayfield, Gage Langel, Zachary Meyer and Logan Doll.


The big homecoming parade was Friday afternoon.
School floats were judged. Finishing in first place was the freshman float, second place went to the cheerleaders and third place was the junior float.
The GHS homecoming theme was Fairy Tales.
