Cale Johnson of Greenville has made it to the big leagues during this St. Louis Cardinals home stand.

Johnson, a 2005 graduate of Greenville High School, currently serves as the pitching coach for the Cardinals’ Peoria Chiefs minor league team.

This past weekend during three games with Milwaukee, and in the current series against Washington, Johnson is helping to coach the Cardinals. He has been seen in the dugout and bullpen.

Cale Johnson pitched for the Comets and at McKendree University, then was drafted by St. Louis in 2009. He played for St. Louis minor league teams in 2009, 2010 and 2011, and was with the Gateway Grizzlies in 2012.
