JV Tennis Falls To T-Town

The Greenville Junior Varsity played a tennis match at Teutopolis Monday.

The final tally was T-town 6, G-town 4.

At #1 singles sophomore Emma Siefken won 7-6 (7-3), 6-7 (6-8), 10-6 over Molly Niemerg.

All other singles and doubles matches were completed as the #1’s battled on for 2 hr.15 min.

#2 Morgan Wilderman also played a long 2 hr. match before besting her opponent Grace Schumacher by the slimmest of margins: 6-3, 4-6, 11-9.

The Wooden Shoes took straight set victories at #’s 3-5 over Anna Walker, Mary-Kate Long and Molly Harnetiaux.

Freshman Paige Mathias fought back at #6 singles to win 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 and freshman Katelyn Ridens pulled off an 8-5 proset win.

In all 3 doubles matches the Lady Comets fell short.
