A rollover traffic accident slowed down eastbound traffic on Interstate 70, between the two Greenville exits, Sunday afternoon. There were no injuries.
A pickup truck, towing a small trailer with a Bobcat unit on it, was involved.
The truck overturned, coming to rest on its side in the median.
The trailer and Bobcat vehicle ended up on the interstate.
The driver of the truck refused treatment when EMTs from the Bond County Ambulance Service arrived. He was able to remove himself from the vehicle.
Greenville Fire Protection District personnel were sent to the scene, but quickly returned to the firehouse upon learning no extrication efforts were needed and there were no other hazards.
The fire department was called at 2:30 p.m. The accident blocked eastbound I-70 until the trailer and Bobcat unit were moved to the side of the road.
Traffic was backed up and down to one lane for over an hour.
