Bridge Church Moving Into Permanent Location

The space formerly occupied by the Green Door and Metzger's Home Furnishings has been remodeled and is the new home of The Bridge church.

Last Saturday marked the fifth anniversary for The Bridge Church in Greenville.

Since October of 2014 the church has been meeting Sundays at The Globe in downtown Greenville, under the leadership of Pastor Dave Bradshaw.

The Bridge will have a permanent location when it holds its first service this Sunday at 102 South Second Street, catty-corner from the courthouse.

Bradshaw said it is a dream come true for The Bridge to have its own building. He said their vision has always been to remain a storefront church and the new location is perfect since it keeps them downtown and in the hub of county activity.

Bradshaw said The Bridge is a different kind of church for a community like Greenville. He said there have been tough times over the 5 years, but he’s glad they’ve stuck it out.

For several weeks, preparations have been underway for the first service at the new location, which was formerly the Green Door. The main floor will be the auditorium where services are held and the second floor will be the location for children’s ministries. The space has been remodeled.

The Bridge is also leasing the area just south of the main location, which was formerly an eye doctor’s office. The Bridge will use that space for church offices.
