Danette S. “Dani” Sutton, age 60 of Damiansville, IL, died Friday, October 04, 2019, at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in O Fallon, IL.
She was born on July 19, 1959, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Charles and Irma (nee Colo’n) Wescott Candelaria.
On October 15, 1977, she married Ronald R. Sutton at Chicago, IL.
She was of the Catholic faith. She was an EMT with Highland Fire Department; and former member of Highland Quarterback Club (Member of the year twice).
Dani was born in Chicago near Humboldt Park. She graduated St. Josephinum Academy in 1977. After her marriage she moved to Girard, IL, moved to Highland in 1989 and to Damiansville in 2014. She currently worked at HSHS St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon, IL in the Referral Department for 5 years. Prior to that she worked for Dr. Alvarado at Internal Medicine in Highland for 20 years. She had also worked at House of Plenty in Highland for several years and was an EMT for Highland Ambulance. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
