Frances Marie Cole


Frances Marie Cole, 83, of Coffeen, IL passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 11:54 p.m. at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL . Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen, IL. Rev. Gary Schwab will officiate. Burial will be held at Waveland Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.

Mrs. Cole was born on January 1, 1936, in East Fork Township, IL, to the late Paul Francis and Edna Marie (Kimbro) Jones. Mrs. Cole was a graduate of Coffeen High School in Coffeen, IL. Mrs. Cole married James H. “Jim” Cole on February 23, 1957 at the East Fork Baptist Church in Coffeen, IL. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2005. Mrs. Cole was a quilt maker, she babysat in her home, and she was a housewife. Mrs. Cole was a member of the East Fork Baptist Church in Coffeen, IL.

Mrs. Cole is survived by her two daughters, Debra (husband, Richard) Kent of Coffeen, IL & Joyce (Husband, John) Bauerle of Witt, IL; one son, Michael (Wife, Heidi) Cole of St. Elmo, IL; four grandchildren, Chris Kent of Claremont, IL, Jared Kent of Coffeen, IL, Joshua Cole of St. Elmo, IL & Valerie (Brett) Wexstten of Nokomis, IL; seven great grandchildren; one sister Frieda (husband, Roy) Perfetti of Coffeen, IL and one brother James Jones of Branson, MO. Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Edna Jones; her husband, Jim Cole; as well as her grandson, Matthew Kent.

Memorials may be given to Lighthouse Pregnancy Center in Vandalia, IL or to the Donor’s Choice.
