Keyesport Halloween Parade

The annual Halloween Parade at Keyesport was scheduled for Saturday, but rain caused it to be postponed.

The weather was sunny and very nice Sunday when the parade was held throughout the village. Moving it to a Sunday reduced the number of entries, but those involved and the area residents lined along the parade route had a fun time.

Cash prizes were given to the top three entries in each class.

Winners were the balloon Sugar Skulls, Sue Chasteen and Karen Huelsman, in the walker category, Ben Holston in his ice cream truck in the pre-school category, the trolls sitting in travelling barrels, first in the small float category, and the Harbor Light flower power float, first in the large float category.

Winning the golf cart category was the entry featuring the Village People. They were Gina Bigley as the construction worker, Christine Novosel as the cowboy Freddie Novosel as the Indian, Mark Hamilton as the police officer, Joe Gutierrez as the soldier and Kurt Mumper as the biker.

Dave Raymond placed first place in the antique vehicle division with his car.
