Multiple Drug Arrests In County

The Bond County Sheriff’s Department and Greenville Police Department, with the assistance of the Bond County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Bond County Probation Department, conducted a joint narcotics enforcement operation in Greenville and Bond County Wednesday night.

Eleven individuals were taken into custody, eight on new charges and three on outstanding warrants.

Arrested in Greenville and charged with alleged drug-related offenses were Barrett D. Pelts of Vandalia, Zachary N. Allen of Greenville, Willard M. Fletcher of Mulberry Grove, and Christy A. Willis of Greenville.

Arrested in Mulberry Grove and charged with alleged drug-related offenses were Daren A. Phillips and Shannon L. Phillips, both from Mulberry Grove.

Taken into custody in Sorento were Jeffrey S. Jenkins of rural Sorento and Sherri J. Pate of Sorento. In addition to one drug charge, Jenkins also faces three felony weapons charges.

Pate has been charged with one drug offense.

Three individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants. They were Monica Hancock of Sorento on a warrant for an alleged uninsured vehicle offense, Chelsea Giller of Panama on a warrant for alleged drug-related offenses in Bond County and Gina Vollintine of Vandalia on a Fayette County warrant for an alleged drug-related offense and forgery.

Hancock and Vollentine were taken into custody in Sorento and Giller was arrested in Greenville.

Information about the new alleged charges filed against the eight individuals arrested Wednesday night includes:

Barrett D. Pelts – Unlawful Methamphetamine Delivery more than 5 grams but less than 15 grams (Class 1 Felony), 2 Counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 4 Felony), Unlawful Possession with Intent to Deliver Cannabis (Class 3 Felony), Unlawful Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe and Needle (Class A Mis). Obstructing a Peace Officer (Class A Mis). Location of Arrest- Greenville.

Zachary M. Allen – Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (Class 3 Felony), Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 4 Felony), Unlawful Possession of Cannabis (Class A Mis). Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Mis). Location of Arrest-Greenville.

Willard M. Fletcher- Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (Class 3 Felony) Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Mis). Location of Arrest-Greenville.

Christy A. Willis- Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (Class 3 Felony) Unlawful Possession of Cannabis (Class A Mis). Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Mis). Location of Arrest-Greenville.

Daren A Phillips- Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Delivery more than 5 grams but less than 15 grams (Class 1 Felony) Unlawful Possession of Hypodermic Syringe and Needle (Class A Mis). Location of Arrest-Mulberry Grove Shannon L. Phillips- Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Delivery more than 5 grams but less than 15 grams (Class 1 Felony) Unlawful Possession of Hypodermic Syringe and Needle (Class A Mis). Location of Arrest-Mulberry Grove.

Jeffrey S. Jenkins- Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon (Class 3 Felony) Unlawful Possession of Firearm with Defaced Identification Marks (Class 3 Felony) Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Class 3 Felony) Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (Class 3 Felony). Location of Arrest-Sorento.

Sherri J. Pate- Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (Class 3 Felony). Location of Arrest-Sorento.

Officials from the Bond County Sheriff’s Department and Greenville Police Department stated both departments remain committed to fighting the drug problem affecting the county and its residents.
