The St. Louise Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has announced its player of the week.
Jared McPeek, a Greenville University sophomore from Mansfield, Ohio, takes home top weekly offensive honors in men’s soccer after helping the Panthers to a 2-1 win over Illinois College. Jared registered his team-leading fourth goal of the season for Greenville’s first of the game. He later added an assist when his shot was stopped by the Illinois College goalkeeper, but the rebound went to Juan Salazar who converted the goal.
This SLIAC player of the week honor is the second of McPeek’s career at Greenville.
Greenville University women’s volleyball player Abby Freeman received an honorable mention from SLIAC. Abby totaled 48 kills, including 21 in a win over Webster while adding 7 service aces.
