Second Donation From Dakota Pipeline

For the second time, Bond County’s Emergency Management Agency is one of the recipients of donations from the Dakota Access Pipeline.

The company held two ceremonies Tuesday to present checks to counties through which the pipeline traverses.

Alan Davis, Bond County EMA director, said the agency received its second $20,000 donation in the past three years.

He said the money will be spent on upgrading communication equipment and training.

Davis said there is a lot of the first donation left. He indicated county fire departments have applied for a radio communications grant and that money is available to be used as matching grant funds.
