Vandals Over Comets In Final Regular Season Game

A share of the South Central Conference was on the line Friday night at Don Stout Field, but the Vandalia Vandals came to Greenville and took care of business.

The Vandals stopped the Comets 45-7.

Vandalia led 7-0 after one quarter and 31-0 at halftime. It was 45-0 when Jack Woods of the Comets scored on a 75-yard run with just under eight minutes to play.

Woods finished the game with 134 yards rushing. The Comets had just 32 yard passing.

Vandalia totaled 271 yards on the ground and 112 yards passing. The Vandals had two players run for over 100 yards.

GHS finished the regular season with a 7-2 record. Vandalia is 9-0.

Both teams are in the playoffs and will find out Saturday who they will play and where next weekend.
