Elections are being held in 2020.
Petitions will be filed by various candidates starting next week.
Bond County Clerk Meg Sybert said Monday is the first day her office can accept petitions. December 2nd is the final day. She pointed out her office will be closed Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving.
Sybert said county offices file in her office, but anything outside of Bond County will go to the State Board of Elections.

County offices to be filled by voters will be state’s attorney, circuit clerk, supervisor of assessments and coroner, with a two-year unexpired term on the ballot for treasurer.
Two county board positions will be elected. They include District 1, which is currently held by Frank Lucco, and District 3, currently held by Eldon Young.
The primary election is March 17 with the general election November 3.
