HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital to Host Electronics Recycling

HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland will be sponsoring an electronics recycling event on Saturday, November 23. Local residents will be able to recycle old electronics equipment from 9 a.m. to noon in the far northwest corner of the main parking lot at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Electronic items that will be accepted for recycling include:
LCD Monitors
Printers
Radios
Phones
Cell phones
Laptops
AC adapters
CD/DVD players
Desktop computers
VCR players
Speakers
Networking equipment
Stereo equipment
Lithium Ion Batteries
Cables and Wires
Satellite receivers

Residential small/large appliances accepted include:
Blenders
Bread machines
Hair dryers
Refrigerators
Freezers
Washers/Dryers
Microwaves
Dishwashers

Items NOT accepted include:
DVD’s
CD’s
VHS
Cassette tapes
Alkaline batteries
Broken batteries
Smoke detectors
Glass lighting
Items containing mercury

Fee items:

A fee of 50 cents per pound will be charged to recycle CRT (tube), Projection, Plasma, and Console televisions. CRT (tube) computer monitors without an accompanying tower will also incur a fee of 50 cents per pound fee.
