MG FFA Participates In Career Development Events

Three Mulberry Grove FFA members competed at the Section 19 Agronomy Career Development Events on Tuesday, November 19 on the Lakeland College campus. Students identified weeds, insects, machines, and various crops. The team (pictured below) placed 4th with Caitlin Hebenstreit 11th individual, Samantha Hootselle 13th individual, and Austin Greenwood 17th individual.

Three members of the Mulberry Grove FFA traveled to the Cowden-Herrick High School on Wednesday, November 20 to compete in two different CDE’s. Sophomores Dakota Kruep and Cortney Arnold competed in the Section 19 Greenhand Quizbowl CDE, a competition limited to freshmen and first-year sophomore FFA members. The two answered various questions in four matches regarding the history and major events of the FFA. The team placed first out of nine teams. Blake Harnetiaux competed in the Section 19 Job Interview CDE. The competitors experienced a mock interview and created resumés, cover letters, and follow-up letters. Harnetiaux placed 7th out of 14 individuals.
