Michael A. “Mike” Kapp, age 41 of Highland, IL, died Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Highland, IL.

He was born on June 11, 1978, in Shiloh, IL, the son of Richard A. and Sherry R. (nee McTigue) Kapp.

He was of the Catholic Faith.

Mike was born at Scott Air Force Base in Shiloh, IL. He attended Belleville East High School and moved to Highland and graduated Highland High School in 1996. He worked as a Server and Bartender at many area restaurants. Some to note, Popeye’s in St. Rose, Charlie Daves in Highland and EL Flanagan’s in Highland. He was currently working at Kloss Furniture in Highland in sales. Mike loved camping and annual trips to the Meramec River at Steelville, MO. He enjoyed soccer, Cardinals Baseball and Blues Hockey. Mike had a love for animals, children, and his fiancée Carol and her family, and his family.

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL .

Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, with Pastor Matt Embry officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Highland Animal Shelter or HIS KIDS.
