The Greenville High School Family and Consumer Science Department will have a special guest Wednesday.
Chef Robert Rhymes, professor of culinary arts at Kaskaskia College, will demonstrate creative cooking with pork for GHS classes.
The high school’s Family and Consumer Science Department received a food service grant from the Illinois Pork Producers Association.
This fall, FASC students learned about the production and marketing side of the pork industry from Josh Flint of The Maschoffs of rural Carlyle.
This Wednesday, members of the community are invited to join students and high school staff to experience Chef Rhymes’ food demonstration and sample the recipes at the end of each class.
Demonstrations are 8:35 to 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. with a break from 12 to 12:35 p.m. They are in room 223.
