Unit Two State Report Card

The Illinois State Board of Education issued the new state report card information for every school and district in Illinois Wednesday.

Bond County Unit 2 Superintendent Wes Olson has reviewed the data and said the district received good marks. He said Unit 2 officials try to dig into the data from a continuous improvement perspective to try and improve the schools from academic, financial, and service perspectives.

The per pupil expenditures last year by school were $13,758 at Sorento, $10,474 at Pocahontas, $9,653 at Greenville Junior High, $9,521 at the high school and $9,054 at Greenville Elementary School.

Superintendent Olson was asked how the report card data is used by the district. He said the district analyzes data to take a closer look at the relationship between financial investment and student outcomes.
