William “Bud” Duncan age 73 of Greenville, passed away at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis on Monday, November 25, 2019.
Funeral services were be held Wednesday, November 27, 3 p.m. at the SmithGrove Baptist Church with att Mendenhall officiating. Interment followed in SmithGrove Cemetery.Memorials can be sent to the Donnell – Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville in Bud’s memory to the NICU@ Cardinal Glennon Hospital.
Bud Duncan, the son of Shelby Clarence and Cecilia (Bruce) Duncan was born February 6, 1946 in Morganfield, Kentucky. The family moved to Sorento, Illinois when Bud was 5. He attended the local schools and graduated from Greenville High School.
Bud and Linda (Cruthis) Duncan were united in marriage on September 10, 1966 in Sorento, Illinois. They have enjoyed 53 years together. Bud worked at Anthony Supply for almost 50 years, he was the sales manager and anything needed in-between. When not working, Bud enjoyed watching baseball and was a Dodger’s fan. He coached baseball during the summers for 25 years.
Surviving are their two sons: Stephen Duncan of Irmo, South Carolina and Kelly Duncan and wife Stephanie of Greenville, Illinois. He was the loving grandfather of Brandon and Tucker and great-grandfather of Jaylon and uncle to Doug Duncan. He is also survived by his brother Drew Duncan and wife Judi of Sorento, Illinois and sister Peggy Cruthis of Sorento, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother Lola Garland Duncan.
