The Greenville University football team completed an outstanding regular season with a close home victory last Saturday.
The Panthers edged Minnesota Morris 34-33 and now have an 8-2 record.
G.U. led 34-13 through three quarters, but the visitors came back in the fourth. Minnesota Morris made it a one-point game with a minute left to play. The Cougars went for the win on the extra point, but the two-point pass failed.
Christian Moss of Greenville scored the Panthers’ third touchdown on a four yard run late in the first quarter. He finished the game with 51 rushing yards on 16 carries and caught a pass for three yards.
Paul Garrett led Greenville in rushing with 172 yards and three touchdowns and quarterback George Harris threw for 228 yards
The Panthers will host the NCCAA Victory Bowl this Saturday afternoon. We’ll have more details on that game soon.
