Aces Take Second In Tourney

The Mulberry Groves Aces made it to the championship game of their own Turkey Tournament, but couldn’t grab the title.

St. Elmo-Brownstown claimed the crown with a 49-35 win over the Aces Saturday evening.

Mulberry Grove trailed the entire game. The Aces got to within five points early in the third quarter, but by the end of the period the eagles led by 17.

St. Elmo-Brownstown sank 11 three-point shots.

Leafing Mulberry Grove in scoring was Kaleb Scoggins with 20 points.

The Aces are 3-1 for the season and host Sandoval Tuesday. The game will be broadcast on WGEL and streamed at WGEL.com.
