Comets Fall In Second Kaskaskian Game

The Greenville Comets lost in their second game of the Kaskaskian Classic in Carlyle Wednesday night.

Freeburg defeated GHS 56-29.

The Comets had small leads twice in the first quarter and trailed by one point going into the second period.

Freeburg moved out to a 14-point lead by halftime and controlled the game the rest of the way.

Payton McCullough led the Comet offense with nine points. Fletcher Manhart netted six points.

The GHS varsity boys are 0-2 for the season. They play Flora at 6 p.m. Friday in the tournament at Carlyle.
