The Greenville University women’s track and field team placed second in the first ever St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference indoor championship meet last Saturday.
The Lady Panthers’ Cayden Sharp was named the conference track athlete of the meet after winning five events and placing second in another. She totaled 58 points herself with wins in the 60 and 200 meter dashes, 60 meter hurdles, high jump and triple jump.
The G.U. distance medley team finished first. The lineup included Hannah Williams from Sorento, Deriree Lesicko, Victoria Dyson, and Kori Nesbit.
Deborah Cunningham won the weight throw and Tawny Rodriguez received the field newcomer of the year.
