Rose Fones, age 77 of Reno, Illinois, passed away at her home Tuesday 3:50 p.m. April 21, 2020.
Private graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday in Reno Bethel Cemetery with Rev. Gary Royer officiating. Donnell – Wiegand Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Rose, the daughter of Loren and Mae Villmar Warren, was born December 29, 1942 in Red Bud, Illinois. She grew up in Illinois and Missouri moving with her family. Her father was a lumber jack, the family moved various places following the timber.
Rose and Richard Wayne Fones were united in marriage on April 9, 1966. They have enjoyed 54 years together. They are the parents of Richard Fones and wife Andrea who live in Greenfield, Illinois.
Her great loves in life were her family, being outside and gardening. Rose was a homemaker, raising her son and great joy in attending to the home. They attended and were part of the Reno Baptist Church family.
Surviving is her husband, son, 6 grandchildren: Tina Drake and husband Kyle, John Fones and wife Harley, Katelyn Embry and husband Dylan, Kendra McKevers, Breden Eades and Tristanna Fones and 5 great-grandchildren: Peyton, Kennedy, Dean, Samuel and Samson. Rose was 1 of 7 children, she is survived by all her siblings: Loren Warren and wife Kathy of Hillsboro, Illinois, Jean Royer and husband Gary of near Dallas, Texas, Wayne Warren and wife Jenny of Panama, Illinois, David Warren and wife Janet of Fillmore, Illinois, Pammy Lindsey and husband Jim of Mulberry Grove, Illinois and Debbie Pumphy husband Lynn of Greenville.
