The Illinois Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 testing at the Bond County Fairgrounds was a huge success.
Held Tuesday and Wednesday, a total of 554 people drove in to have the nose swab testing conducted. There were 299 on Tuesday and 255 on Wednesday.
Site Manager Lawrence Keel was very happy with the overall turnout. He said people were excited about being tested. While the majority of people were from Bond County, Keel said some did come from neighboring counties. He urged everyone to be tested at least monthly.
Those having the test can expect a phone call about the results in two to seven days.
