A Greenville resident has been charged in Fayette County after allegedly leading police on a chase to Greenville the early morning hours of July 18.
Michael Gryzwacz, age 19 of Greenville, faces criminal charges of alleged possession of a stolen vehicle and aggravated fleeing from police.
His bond was set at $5,000 cash. If bond is posted, the defendant is to follow special conditions including having no contact with the minors named in the incident.
After seeing the car allegedly speed by them, Fayette County deputies attempted to stop the driver in Vandalia, but the driver did not stop. A pursuit began, westbound on Route 40.
The driver avoided stop sticks put out near Smithboro, but struck stop sticks placed near Carlisle SynTec in Greenville.
Three subjects in the vehicle were taken into custody and returned to Fayette County.
Gryzwacz was arrested and held. Two juveniles were released to their parents.
