Keyesport Home, Pets Lost In Fire

The Keyesport Fire Protection District responded to a house fire in the 21,000 block of Adair Dr. Thursday just after 6:20 PM. Wheatfield, Mulberry Grove, and Greenville firefighters provided mutual aid. Clinton County EMA, the Clinton County Sheriff Department, and Med Star Ambulance also responded.

Keyesport Fire Chief Jim Golder told WGEL no one was home at the time of the fire and the home was a total loss. 4 pets were lost in the fire. No other injuries were reported.

Crews were on the scene for about 3 hours.

Golder told us the cause of the fire is undetermined and under investigation.

The Carlyle Christian Church Outreach Center has put out an emergency plea to help meet the needs of the family impacted by the fire.

The organization is seeking girls youth pants size 5 or small, medium or size 10 shirts, and size 14 or XL shirts and pants; men’s 3X shirts and size 38 pants; kids shoes size 8; ladies shoes sizes 7.5, 8 & 10; and men’s shoes sizes 10 and 13.
