Bond County Voter Turnout Over 75%

Voter turnout in Tuesday’s Bond County general election finished at 75.43 percent.

A total of 8,197 votes were cast in the election, with 4,599 voters visiting the polls on Tuesday.

Of the 3,598 individuals voting early in the election, 1,444 of them did so by mail-in-vote.

Bond County Clerk Meg Sybert reported there are 142 ballots she mailed out that have not been returned. If they are in the mail and were postmarked Tuesday or earlier, they will be counted if they arrive at the county clerk’s office within the next two weeks.
