Election results from Tuesday’s General Election show that Republican Mary Miller will take over the U.S. House 15th District position vacated by John Shimkus, and Rodney Davis, Republican, has retained his seat as 13th District U.S. representative.
With 85 percent of the vote counted late Tuesday night, Incumbent Democrat Richard Durbin had 51.6 percent of the vote in the race for U.S. senator.
Blaine Wilhour, incumbent Republican, won his race against Democrat David Seiler to keep his position as Illinois House representative in the 107th District.
Bond County voters favored Miller, Davis, Durbin’s opponent Mark Curran, and Wilhour.
Bond County residents also gave 69 percent of their votes to incumbent Republican President Donald Trump.
