BCMW Community Services is giving five $1,000 scholarships as part of its block grant program.
Scholarships will be awarded to low-income residents residing in Bond, Clinton, Marion and Washington counties.
They are open to those desiring to further their education in the 2021-22 academic year at an accredited two-year college, vocational school or four-year college or university.
All applicants must be permanent residents in one of the four BCMW counties.
Applications can be picked up at all BCMW offices or can be obtained at BCMWCommunityServices.org. They must be submitted no later than 3 p.m. March 31.
This program is funded by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.
