Brush Fire In Rural Sorento


Pocahontas-Old Ripley Fire Protection firefighters were sent to a rural Sorento area along Doty Lane Monday afternoon.

Fire Chief Dennis Lindley said a land owner was burning brush and the fire spread to a couple of trees. The alarm was received at 4:40 p.m., and fire personnel were on the scene 30 to 45 minutes to extinguish the flames.

Chief Lindley said there was no damage to property.
