KPD Board Approves Salary Increase & More

The Kingsbury Park District Board met December 19 and took action on a few items.

The board gave Park District Director Jerry Sauerwein a three and one-half percent salary increase. His annual salary is now $70,897.

Not included in his salary package, board members also approved a $1,000 bonus for Sauerwein, payable this month.

The motions were approved on 4-0 votes with Chad Nelson absent.

The board approved the purchase of a new Ford F-450 four-wheel drive truck with a utility bed. The cost, through the state purchasing program, will not exceed $75,000.

The truck will be used by the maintenance staff. Sauerwein reported it will be several months before the truck is delivered.

The park district board voted to be a $500 Independence sponsor for the 2023 Bond County Fourth Fest.
